A friend has offered to help me rebuild the master brake cylinder and wheel cylinders on my 1959 Studebaker Deluxe pickup. He's telling me to just go over to my local Pep Boys or NAPA and pick them up. I think at best I'll get some 20 year old that will ask is that German or Japanese, or be laughed out of the store. Any suggestions on the best or better sources?

Master cylinder should not be a problem, it's used on some early jeeps, forget the wheel cylinders unless you just need cups..

The store I work at can get brake parts for a Studebaker. Any good parts store should be able to, though you'll likely need a parts guy who can read a book..
I have gotten Stude truck wheel cylinders from NAPA, just earlier this year.

Late V8 car wheel cylinders from NAPA. I have the United numbers memorized! 19236 for the fronts and 19238 for the rears. Master cylinder for 47 thru 60 cars AND 55 thru 62 half ton trucks United# 2796 Kit#137
1957 Transtar 1/2ton
1960 Larkvertible V8
1958 Provincial wagon
1953 Commander coupe

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
