  • Flex plate noise solved!

My 64 hawk with powershift trans was making the death rattle of a cracked flex plate. It was very loud especially at low speed. WELL, I can believe it but it turned out the problem was the transmisson was a little over a quart low! I had always checked fluid in park and it was okay. Finally I had a friend put it in drive and held brake while I checked. What a difference! Seems so silly that I did'nt follow procedure plainly marked on stick. But there you have it. She is back to quiet shifting an running[8D]! Have a studie day, Mike
