What car is the 18" wheel intended for? I have one that I would like to sell, and I am not sure what car it fits. The horn button does not belong to this wheel, but it looked so good, I had to use it.

Shrock Brothers shows the 49 - 52 Steering wheels as 18".

Sal the sedans used a 18" wheel w/o power. The coupes used a 17 1/4"
wheel. Is this a 53-54 wheel and what is price? e-mail me about v

I beg to differ with that assessment. I think only the cheap-o sedans had just the button. The more expensive had wheels as pictured above. Here's a pic of a Commander sedan.

We were talking about the diameter of the wheel, not the trim level,
I think. I have a 53 regal coupe and a 53 regal 4 door. both are original. The coupe has a 17 1/4 wheel and the sedan has a 18.
By the way John, that's a fantastic interior shot.

My '55 President State Sedan has that steering wheel but the horn button is from early '53's when it used the tri-star before Mercedes Benz threatened a law suit.

Wish I could say it was mine but I stole it from Ebay...:D

And a '55 Prez State wheel is not exactly the same because it has a full-circle horn ring. So the little notches for the upper part of the ring are in the '55 wheel but not in the '53-'54-'56.

Here is the Prez State wheel.

Really not trying to be a smart alec about this...just trying to keep the info correct.

yeah, I *think* the full horn ring was '55 only, and 18" would be for a sedan. could be 53-54 or 56. I'm sure about the 56, not so sure about the 53-54 (I don't have parts books pre-55.)

It's not a 56 Sedan. I have 3 56 steering wheels and none look like that. And all have different horn buttons.
