Even before I was interested in old cars - I was nuts about old airplanes. At some point in 1965, I found myself marking time I Saigon for a week. Saigon airport was a place of wonder that was open to explore, and I spent a couple of days doing so.
I still have a strong mental image of brazenly sliding open one hangar's doors and being confronted with the sight of hundreds of old aircraft engines all jumbled up!
Closer to the subject at hand, I tried to find SOME interest in the old, OLD Studebaker transmissions that resided in a now cleared wrecking yard in Fresno. No one cared - they're long gone now.[V]

Miscreant Studebaker nut in California's central valley.

    1957 Transtar 1/2ton
    1960 Larkvertible V8
    1958 Provincial wagon
    1953 Commander coupe
    1957 President two door

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
