  • 61 hawk horn

I was tighten up my steering wheel today and noticed that my horn will not blow if I press the horn ring, however when I was tighten up the steering wheel everytime the wrench touched the connector that the wire goes into the horns blew. When I take the center plastic part off you can see my horn insides could there be something missing as the horn will not blow the normal way only when I touch the connector with something metal.

Check for corrosion around the outside of the steel cup, both on the cup and the plate below. Steel wool them both then apply a thin coat of Vaseline.
