  • Found some studes out riding today. many pics

I've been passing this lot for some months now, and today with the weather being so nice I decided to hop on the bike and take some photo's for everyone,
r5-58325 w slider seat. NO OD

This one here had a painted over serial plate.

In these next two photo's your eyes don't decieve you, this place is by a creek that floods, and those marks on the deck are how high the water has gotten. Just last week.....the water was to the top of the window. Not sure if anything is really salvagable.

Here's a parts car, champ 6 still in there.
    Serial number G1034795

    Packard

    Are these Stude wagons?

LOVE the Packard limo. Interior's in surprisingly nice shape! What a great ride that would be...

Back in the days before it was fashionable (or probably profitable), 1980 in Boise, Idaho...a guy rebuilt a downtown old-style hotel.
      The Iden-Ha, IIRC.
It had a similar restored 48 Packard limo for their courtsey car.

Wonder if it survives? (the hotel and car..).

I see my name on the sign...Mt. LEONARD

I also saw a Studebaker at a garage/used car lot today. The mechanic said the guy wants 5 or 6 thousand for it. I little high IMO. He said they just put new brakes and hoses on it and it runs good. It is a 51 Studebaker Custom.

Wonder what kind of transmission is in that 51, Leonard.

Love that 51. Paint looks the same as my Lark's...Those watermarks on the decklid of the 55 4dr make a fascinating picture too. They put me in mind of the rings in a cross section of tree trunk...And someone must save that long-wheelbase Packard! Thanks for posting these.

Kevin, do you get by there easy enough to make a trip for parts? I could use a complete (as much as possible) jack from that 50 Champion, and the trunk lid hinges.

                What Vegas Paul said.

Might just be a 3 speed shifter to mess with people. [}]

I should think those cars would have usable parts if they're not too far gone to restore. At minimum, Steering Wheel, Bumpers.

                  Packard limo is nice.

I take it these Studes are in Mo-zoo-rah? Too far even for a look-see, for me. That Packard really is nice![]

yeah, I could take an afternoon to do that. Owner of the lot had a guy doing odds n ends for him here's a number if your interested in calling maybe he'll take them off for you for a resonable price. Let me know. I'd be prepared for them to be a bit weathered. The watered down champion is just behind the champion your interested in for parts.
