  • It lives!!! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!!!!

After setting on blocks for the 11 years or so in the family barn, I got my 62 hardtop running again I had to prime the carb a few times before gas got back up to the carb but once that happened the old girl ran for 15 minutes before I turned off the ignition.

I have to figure out how to get a broken choke tube out of the manifold. I would like the choke to work, not that it really worked when the car was my daily driver

Also need to change a lot of stuff, the car has sat on blocks for the last 11 years or so.

    But it ran by itself

    yay!!!!!

Now that it runs, before you move it be certain it has the ability to stop! I would rather have a car with no go than no whoa! Brakes are more important than ignition.

      Having said that, Hooray!

Don't go crazy trying to get the tube out of the manifold. There's no vacuum or anything to seal there it's strictly a hot air pipe. I still see choke tube repair kits in parts stores and I think the tube in those kits is designed to fit in the part that is usually broken off in the manifold.
