  • It's alive! It's alive!.....almost anyway

I finally got my '57 Packard wagon running after six years of restoration! It has a rebuilt 289, bored to 299, oversized intakes, hotter cam, and a rebuilt tranny. Anyway, I got it running and backed it into the driveway to take a few pictures. Of course, it stalled and didn't want to start. When I tried, the starter stuck! RATS!!! I guess I will have to get it rebuilt, too. If it isn't one thing, it's another! I'll post some of the pictures when I get a chance.

Here's one of them, more to follow! I do have wide white walls for it, but they aren't on yet.

Be sure to give your camera a "good going over" after fixing that stupid starter. We don't want to wait six years for those pics!

I like the colour combination![] Once you get the bugs worked out, she'll likely be a delight to drive![8D] It usually takes me about six months, then again... none of mine are restored.[:I][8)]

Thanks. It will look a lot better with the wide white walls on it.

Chip that is a very nice looking car! For some reason, I thought your car was yellow and white. This is a very nice car. Now I see why you inquired on the emblem. I will get it listed when things slow down for me. Take care
