Ebay Golden Hawk. A person would put over 10,000 in it just to get it home. I bet it would take another 50 to restore.

this may be a result of a current thing with Ebay to post car listings for free or nearly so. I guess some guys figure there may be a sucker somewhere. Glad you posted it. It just helps us novices to get feedback from experienced guys who have some notion of value for these things

I said a couple weeks ago I thought there would be an increase in listings with unrealistic prices in this thread:

I think this is one example, and I see several more that appear to be the same. There are over 60 listings currently, I think about 10-15 more than if they still had an up-front fee.

I think my prediction was accurate- just took a couple weeks longer to get going than I thought.

He just relisted it for $12500.00 apperently the way out of line price of $9500.00 was not far enough out of line.

Actually, he upped the BIN to a ridiculous amount, then added the Best Offer option.

I've sold quite a few guitars using that strategy, and on one occasion somebody actually hit the BIN.

The original listing said it was 99% complete. Maybe he found another half-percent of the parts [:0] and has subsequently determined it is worth more. BP

Ummm, yeah. Well, there's a world of difference between those two cars... if not a universe.

Did you notice that there were NO bids on the car. I wouldn't have offered $950 for it. It would cost way too much to restore it.
