  • Heading to Lancaster

My wife and I started out for Lancaster this morning with three other chapter members. We are 400 miles closer to Lancaster. We will be there Sunday afternoon.
Anyone else " on the road" ?

Not on the road, yet but making slow progress. I was able to get a new deck on my trailer today, though time didn't allow me to paint it first. Was going to pull it with my F350 pickup, but I discovered what I think is a broken axle shaft on the way back from putting $100 of fuel in it. Looks like it is either the rollback (which I topped off to the tune of $130 today) or my Explorer. I hope to be there Sunday evening.

My wife, Gerald Hiter and his wife, Betty Rae, will be leaving Louisa around 7:30 AM Monday. We should be in Lancaster around lunch time (about a 4 1/2 hour drive). Will set up our vendor spaces and be in business mid-afternoon. See y'all.[8D]

The Ozark Trails party has made it to West Virgina. About 800 miles from home. We were going to stop and visit the Indy 500 Museum this morning but as we pulled up to the track we found out there was some kind of motorcycle racing going on there. We decided to leave and catch it on the return trip.

Had a rainy ride all along the Ohio Turnpike on Saturday. Staying the night in Canonsburg w/friends. Onto the Lancaster Host Hotel with a planned arrival of 5:00 PM Sunday. Can't wait to hit that swap meet area & the vendors. Trying to do some updates on the '50 Starlight Coupe & the '64 R1 GT Hawk. Have a safe trip all and see you soon.

                          Regards, [8D]
