Since I bought this '62 Hawk I've had an annoying metallic rattle in one of the mufflers. Today I couldn't stand it any longer. Took it to the muffler shop and they cut it off (It was welded on). I looked inside expecting to see a loose baffle. Instead I found a 1/2" combination wrench. It was extremely corroded but will now occupy a place on my wall of wierdness.

I've heard of cans and bottles in doors from the factory, but a wrench in the muffler, WOW , you must be special. Must be the Midas touch.

Don't they have a lifetime guarantee that you can collect on?

You guys blame the shop gnomes.
Us Michiganders call them the 'Garage Floor Monsters'.
They can't be seen when you drop something and they grab it, but they do come out at night to put it back where you think you lost it. Until now, they have not been known to go this far, to actually put stuff inside parts of the vehicle. Must be some kind of revolt or garage terrorism plot.
