  • Avanti blower switch

My Avanti's bower motor only seems to work on high. (On the overhead switch panel, the left fan switch turns power on, the right only makes noise in one position).

Do I need a new switch or is it somewhere else in the system?

I'm not an expert.....usually lower speeds are controlled by a resistor in the ciruit. If that resistor goes bad (or all the smoke leaks out) you will loose low speed. The switch itself is easy to disassemble & inspect. Then look at the wires attached to the resistor for signs of heat.If you have an electrical meter you can even check the resistor.
