  • Hawk rubber inner fender liners location

Anyone have a good picture of the rubber inner fender liner locations for a GT hawk. Mine were rotted away and the new ones from Stud Intl seem to not fit right.

    Thanks

Unless this is a "show-car" leave them off.
We just don't have to drive on the roads they had to back then. Splash and spray isn't the issue it used to be. (unless it's a daily driver and you live on a dirt road).
I also find it lets hot engine air escape the engine compartment easier... and we need all the air-flow we can get.

I'll see if I have fenders with the baffles still on- and take a photo, but that won't be until tomorrow ....

After I removed the old sheilds I placed the new one on the inter fender so the lower part went down behind the frame. When I had them where I wanted them I put a couple of self tapping screws into the staple holes to hold in place. Then I trimmed off the excess material and finished mounting.
      Hope this helps.

I had no problem with the size and fit of the SI splash rubbers. I removed mine, laid them out flat and drilled holes into the new rubbers using the old rubbers as a template. I used galvanized 2" 16 gauge air nails, cut and bent into the proper size staples. I then drilled out all the holes in the fender skirt, install all the required galvanized staples into the new rubbers and folded over the staples in the wheel well. It looks original. I used the same method to install the new rubber seal for the radiator to hood seal.
