  • Lost Avanti, found

The shipping company found the Avanti in a storage yard and delivered it to the new owner today. BTW, the older couple that bought it are looking to buy more Studebakers as a investement. They are even looking at the big truck I'm helping sell on ebay. I never dreamed Studebaker would be a investment like fine art some day.

Let's hope they use a more reliable company to transport any future "investments".

And at the risk of sounding like somebody on CNBC, are Studebakers really going to appreciate fast enough for an "elderly couple" to profit from?
If so, I'll do some extra work on the Avanti!

I've been tracking values on the hot cars for the five years I've been doing ebay and I've seen 15% a year at least. Avanti's took a big jump in the last year or so, even condition 4 cars bringing over 10K at lond as they are rust free in the frame and troughs.

R2 powered larks and Hawks are off the chart.

Man, if I was the shipping company I'd sure fire that driver. Unfortunately, guys like that go from job to job and their resume never catches up with them [xx(]
