This car was on eBay about a month back. Didn't hit the reserve, IIRC.

Didn't wait for the pics; does this have the S/C?

The estate auction I went to in June had a 5? G/H... stored for years... not running... hit hard LR and crudely bondoed... floors and floor supports shot... S/C apart and in trunk...overall fair to poor but complete... Sold for:

$7600 [:0][:0][:0]

So based on that one, if this one's really as nice as it says, and is S/C, may not be too bad......

I'm sure they're kidding about that; you know, like seeing a multi-million dollar mansion and saying, "Ehh, it's better than sleeping in the street, I guess...":D

It truly is a beauty- although if we're in that range I personally would prefer the 60 Hawk with the chrome fins that a few made fun of about a month or so ago [:I][:o)]

Whoever winss the car needs to buy this as well and put it in the trunk at the shows they attend. I have never seen another one (though I haven't looked either).

I just have the following to add~

This car is not 'all that', there are many other posts about this car that explain why. You may have to search for them.
If it was 'all that' it wouldn't be back up on eBay, yet again. What's this like try number five or six? One day it'll make the reserve, I see that the BIN seems to be coming down, so maybe one day it could happen...

For a $32,000.00 car it would have to be correctly restored including undercarriage and engine compartment. The engine compartment is poorly restored, the undercarriage is untouched in terrible shape and the big downer is the "Sunglow Gold". Whoever bought the paint must have thought it was "Gold". It was not, it was Yellow-Gold non-metalic dark YELLOW, thats yellow with a touch of orange not metal gold like a '57 ![xx(]

The rear bumper needs rechroming and the top of the rear seat is dry rotted a little. It's make a nice driver, but not for that much $$$. [V]The front seat is a little on the dirty side too.

Yes the car is overpriced and parts of it are a disappointment, particularly the undercarriage. However it is fairly rare and the paint combo, well you either love it or hate it... But the pictures: I have felt for years that if you were going to sell a high dollar, pristine vehicle on ebay or online, you should take a fraction of what your asking for the car and have a series of book quality photos taken. I have done this twice, hired a pro and got all the money and a little more. I am amazed to see someone trying to sell an expensive vehicle with disposable camera photos ! I've also been told "saw your photos -had to come see the car".. I wonder if the gentleman who had his 56 GH burn in the UK has seen this one ? Nice car, I'd consider driving it.....:D
