  • 1962 Hawk Seats

I am putting new seat covers on the 62 Hawk and was looking at the seat adjustment mechanism. It appears as though there are two wires that connect the lever with the 'catch' mechanism. Is this correct? Or did someone just use wire to connect the mechanisms? What should be used to connect them and where can I find such items? Thanks in advance for any help.

Wire is stock, use "mechanics wire". (Every garage needs a roll two)

Thanks, that is what I thought, but wasn't sure.

I have carpet I got from you that I am going to install in the car. Do you recommend gluing it down with contact cement, or what?

Yes glue the pat and carpet down with 3M super trim adhesive or contact cement.
