  • Here is my 1960 lark for those interested

Hi Mark, nice to hear from a fellow Canuck thanks to all that replied, I have not had the chance to look at the responses, I thought I would just try this technical stuff and add some pictures first.

    Very nice looking Lark Kathy!

These Custom two-tones are starting to appear after all these years of these cars being the original single tone! This makes the third one now shown here, that I have seen! [:0]

I guess the moulding wrapping around 90% of the car, is just too much to resist for making an easy two-tone paintline!

This one would also look good with the mid50's theme, THREE Tone -sorta! With the roof painted Dark Gray like the bottom! [^]

Good to have you aboard, that's a nice Lark, hopefully you'll solve your weather stripping problem soon.

Nice looking car Kathy. I love it. Got one like it in the barn. Just waiting for some attention. Too many irons in the fire now. I wish mine was as nice as yours is. WOW.

I think if one is going to two-tone a Lark, it comes out much better when the contrast between the two colors is subtle, like this one. Nice work!

I guess that you didn't live in the rust belt through the 50s-'70s. It was quite common to paint the lower portion of a car a different color after doing major rust repair on the lower portion of a car.

Kathy - Nice Car! I don't recall seeing it in the Member's Studebaker Pictures section of this Forum. It would be nice to have some larger pictures of your Lark in that section. I am a fine one to say that since I do not post pictures on the Forum, but you have already passed that hurdle.

                      Kathy,
Welcome. You've got a nice looking Lark there. I just have a soft spot for '59 & '60 Larks. They're cute cars.
