  • Make your own decals follow-up

    Hello group,

A while back I responded to one or more people about how to make their own decals for their Scotsman pick-ups. I learned something over the weekend the hard way. I took our '54 Commander Starliner to Das Awkscht Fescht in Macungie, PA. It rained some on Saturday. Big deal; I closed the windows. But I had the Covert's Garage topper on the front license plate that I reproduced as a decal from an original. I must not have sprayed enough sealer on it after the decal paper came out of our ink jet printer, because the rain caused it to run some. Actually, it looks older now, but since I saved the bitmap image, I'll just print up another one. If you make your own decals -- especially if it's one for the hood of your Scotsman pick-up -- be sure you give it multiple coats of sealer.

    Kindest regards,

Thanks for the update. I intend to try making some decals of our chapter logo soon.
