  • Dig out those old N&A catalogs

Looks like at least one person thinks that have significant value. If this thing sells, I may get him/her/them to sell some of mine.

This is rare stuff, all right. They don't make Studebakers any more, you know.

Stude stuff is a good investment. All mine has doubled in price since I bought them.

Durn, just threw two of them away. They were a little rounded at the corners, due to a little varmit action. Does that make them more valuable?

They must have changed their ads, in a single ad now you get a "COPY" (WOW!) of a photo of 4 Zip Vans on a rail car with the Zip Van Parts Catalog for $49.95 + 5.00, if you hurry operators are waiting!! LOL!

I have bid on Newman & Altman catalogues from the 70's offered on EBay several times. I figured that it would be a source of info. Plus: just for kicks, I could see how cheep and plentiful NOS Stude stuff was back then! But, alas, they got away from me--someone was willing to pay a few cents more. So, I just ask that you who still have them not dispose of N&A catalogues in the future, if they are in readable condition--try putting them up for sale here or on the 'Bay. Thanks.

Does anyone know when (year, etc.) N & A switched from their original type (much thinner) catalog with "stapled center" to the much thicker, more informative "bound" type???

                              TIA
