  • Another one I wish I could get...

I'm not really a truck guy- but for 5 bills I'd love to have this![]

I believe the seller's threat, as it will probably crush for around that...[V]

I hope someone has the heart (and ability) to save it.........

Maybe someday I'll sponsor folks on the WC to help them save this stuff...

I've E-mailed this seller. He told me what he meant by "driveable" is that it can pull itself around in spite of a frozen brake. The steering wheel was done like that when he got the truck.

It's about 250 miles from me and I've been toying with the idea of having a dump truck to use around here for some time. This looks like it would be a candidate for such, but not knowing what it would take to fix the brakes and therefor figuring I'd have to pay to have it brought to me, I've tried to look the other way.
It's not that I don't have feelings about saving yet another Studebaker - it's just that I'm overloaded with them as it is. And even if this IS one I could ultimately justify as a tool at my place, I have to ask myself (and answer very candidly)"just WHEN would you spend the time to make it driveable?"[V]

Just repeat, over and over: After I buy this one--no more; after I buy this one--no more; After I buy this one--no more; after I buy this one--no more. Hope that helps you.

I probably would have bid on this truck if I'd been home when it timed out. Yeah, I coulda set up a snipe bid, but I didn't because I didn't wanna set myself up - if ya know what I mean.[V] Most of my desire to save it was to simply "save it", not so much to have it as something to use. Of course, the good thing is that someone ELSE saved it from the scrapper. [:I]
