  • A good Studebaker day

Yesterday we took our '56 President to a small local AACA show in Salisbury, MD. There were two other Studes there, a '64 GT and a '63 GT. The people running the show said it was the first time they had three Studebakers at their show and that they must be getting popular! Then it was on to Felton, DE where we met other members of the Delmarva Chapter at the Diamond State Drive-In Theatre. This drive-in opened in 1949 and this will be its last year of operation. The owner/manager placed us dead center and was real excited to have us. As you can see the Mini-Cooper club was also there (they backed in and tailgated), but judging by the number of photos taken, the Studes were the stars. Did 150 miles and didn't get home until 1 am. It was a great day to drive a Studebaker. Some photos are attached.

I imagine your studebaker made an impression on the "younger generation" Cooper owners. Love the old drive ins. Have one in Independence MO called the Twin local landmark. Fun times.
