  • Lost Avanti

I sold a R2 Avanti on ebay to a nice elderly couple that arranged shipping with DASH auto shippers and they lost the car. It seems they tried to deliver it early when the owner was out of town and the driver dropped it "somewhere" and DASH can't locate the driver or the car and is not be overly helpful to the couple. The car has been missing for 10 days.

I hope you've informed them that word gets around and their reputation isn't going to be worth diddly soon.

I wonder what DASH stands for? Dash from the scene?

Holy crap Batman, we have a problem!

What sort of half a**ed operation could up and lose a collector car as well as their driver??? In the age of the internet it only takes one blunder along these lines to ruin all the good work a company has ever done.

I would be curious if the "driver" was their employee or a contractor and if they conducted a background check on him/her? Could be the "driver" made off with it and plans to "sell" it to make a quick buck. Who has the title?

I hope that they had insurance on the car and were not just depending on the shipping company's insurance. What part of the country did the Avanti disappear in? What is the color and S/N of the Avanti so that we may be on the look out for it?
