  • Coil Springs...need a source for

I need the measurements for the front coil springs for a '53 Commander Starliner.
If I have the measurements and strength etc. I can order them locally.
I am having the leaf springs redone locally.
What is the difference between standard and heavy duty as listed in the manuals.
I have O'Reilly, Carquest, Advantage, Auto Zone, Moog and NAPA available.
Do you have the parts numbers for front coils for any of the parts houses above ??

The standard spring is 14" tall free standing, ground flat on both ends. It is 5 1/5" in diameter with a .640" diam. wire. Measured at 1" compressed to 2" compressed it rates at 270 lbs. inch. Should have a number stamped on the end sides of 526128.

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
