  • 8400 Mile '56 President?

    Hi

This showed up on New Mexico Craigslist, anyone know if this is truly an 8,400 mile original car?

A little pricy even if it is true, but a nice example just the same.

Cool Beans! 'Nice to see the original tires and wheels survive and go with the car. The right colors, too! BP

Expensive? I dunno. How much is a nearly-brand-new 50-year-old Studebaker worth? They're only original once, as the saying goes.

Maybe you're right, if Packard wagons are pulling twice that this week. Still, the ol' they're only original once line may be a stretch even for that 30K selling third owner. Very cool car to find in 2008 if it's legit mileage and that original in person.

It's very nice! [] besides, I wouldn't get too hung up on his asking price, the fine print says "make an offer".

I have a '46 M-16 fire truck with 2349 original miles (and the original rear tires) that I will sell for 20% of his asking price.
