  • New Production order thought I'd share

    Just received the production order for my pickup.

    I have delivered to #8 KC MO-Armacost
    2R5-12-C2 pickup Factory order number of C 18169, Serial r5-15747
    Order written 12-15 supposed to be shipped 12-23. Final assembly of DEC 27,1948
    Engine # 1R-22548 is long gone and has been replaced.
    P2204 iroquious blue paint, with trim of
    6033 FB IMIT LEA. Letters mean. IMITATION LEATHER Thanks Dwain
    Body No. 44873. That matches
    Key number is listed
    Rear axle of 4.82, Dana 41
    Letter box B for dual horns isn't checked, truck has high low horns though.
    Letter box H is checked with 2-Stage springs
    Letter box K is checked for Hill Holder
    2 Front wheels of 650x16 6ply
    3 Rear wheels of 650x16 6ply
    Transmission is the FWOD. Overdrive. Anyone help with the FW?
    Original engine equiped with F4 oil filter. Box 4
    Front chrome bumper
    Rear chrome bumper.
    No special features or instructions.

    I thought it was unique that both of my vehicles have remained in the general region in which they were delivered.
    Lark delivered to Armacost, found in Nebraska
    Truck delivered to Armacost and found in Eastern Kansas.

    Questions/comments welcome, now it's off to frame this and add it to the garage art.

        Just curious cuz mine was shipped to #8 Hutchinson, KS. Guess #8 refers to a geographic zone.

          No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

              Ahh, I have re-read 4961Studebaker's original post a couple of times after reading fstst56's post and it makes more sense now. The "#8 KC MO" is the location of the destination dealer, and the Armacost probably is the name of the shipper. My po has a unique box for shipper, it is not a word after the destination in the same box.

                Guy's.....Armacost....as in the dealership....as in the Armacost museum. Not a shipper.....its the destination. Corner sign/building
