Thanks. Actually, I got the paint code for that color from a brand new Monte Carlo back in '99, it's a stock GM color. You can't tell in this pic, but the tailfins are pearl white.

Why is this car not on a TW cover?

Well you do have to wonder if it is Plum as in Pic #1 or Deep Red as in Pic #2! Apparently the lighting has a really big affect on this color, maybe too much sunlight is turning it Red?

Nice '59 Silver Hawk door panels!

Actually, the second picture was taken several years before the first one. It was more red than it is now. It was a 20 foot paint job. I repainted it when I added the new interior I got from Phantom. I already knew what color I was going to paint it before I ordered the interior. One thing that I required was a cloth interior instead of a vinyl one. (It gets hot in the south in the summer.[}:)]) The interior that was in it wasn't stock anyway, and was beginning to show it's age. The only cloth interior they had for a '60 was green. I always liked the '59 interior anyway, and the gray color can be used with just about anything. I think it works well.[:p]

The purplish tint you see on it is the reflection from the blue sky, the actual color is what you see on the upper right rear corner of the decklid.[8D]

There was a Golden Hawk with your color combo at this last weekends Meadow Brook Concours. I like yours better.
