  • Still looking for brake shoes or linings for E38

Several months ago I posted looking for rear brake shoes or the OEM brake lining number for my brother's 1955 E38 (2 Ton) truck. Neither I nor my brother has had any luck. He has an older shop near him with tons of old replacement linings for drum shoes but no longer have the books to ID them to the right manufacturer. Anyone have a book to ID linings or maybe a source for OEM shoes?

    Thanks

Dan, I have a set of rivet-on linings here that MIGHT fit a 2-ton. If you can get the dimensions you need, including the rivet hole spacing, I could measure them up and see if they match your specs. Got them at a swap meet several years ago. They are about 4" wide, IIRC, and might fit a Wagner Hi-Tork brake. But that's just a guess.
