  • Happy Father's Day & Stan Hywet car show pictures

Bolted on my extra selt belts in the front for both of my daughters (none in the back yet) and headed off to Akron for the huge Stan Hywet Hall car show for Father's Day celebrating the convertible. This was on the grounds of the Seiberling family mansion of Goodyear Tire and Rubber fame. They lived there from 1915 to 1955. Quite a tour of Tudor Revival architecture and the former Akron family's history. Sadly I didn't register my car and had to leave it on the street outside of the grounds. My camera jammed after the beautiful Packards and by then I had only shot one Studebaker, but thought I'd share. My apologies to those of you dial up readers. Hope you all had a great day with your children or fathers.

My youngest shot this from a treehouse. Too bad about the branches or you would have seen the Ohio Region's Studebakers; '52 convertible, '57 Golden Hawk, etc. President Don Morgan and wife Vivian found the thickest walnut tree for cool shade from the hot sun.
