  • Red Avanti dash bulbs

Anyone have a good (possibly cheap) source for the red bulbs that were used on Avanti gauges? And will they fit the sockets of a '63 Lark?

    Thanks in advance.

        Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, K-Mart... The wife's make-up drawer.
Just put some red nail polish on the bulbs..
Done it a few hundred tims....

Do we really want Matt to get married just so he has a source for red nail polish? Maybe a grandmother, mother, aunt.....? He needs to stay single so he has money to finish the forum's pickup.

I never thought of using nail polish. I went to Micheal's and bought a can of red glass stain. At one time you were able to buy a jar to dip the bulb into to the plastic glass stain. This time I used a red glass stain spray bomb and have spray many bulbs with it.

I just got two boxes of them, would think NAPA should have them also.

Radio Shack has bulb condoms in red, green and blue IIRC

Auto Meter sells the little silicone bulb condoms as well. I'm using the green ones on my Ford's auxiliary gauges, and the red ones on the '55.
