  • Silver Hawk in town

A few days ago I was driving out to my in-laws house and spied a Hawk sitting in a yard. My brother and I stopped today and took a look. The owner is a Chevy guy who has Chevelles,Novas, and the like. I guess he found this and hopes to turn a quick buck.

We didn't knock on the door to ask questions. There was a $2000.00 price on the windshield. The car has some dents, patches and holes in the floor, caved in deck lid, missing trim, and apparently no engine. I'm not up on my Hawks. What year is it?

Looks like a 59 because it says Silver Hawk on the fin.

I was kinda shocked when I saw that deck lid. I don't know what the story is. My brother will see this guy in the parts store in a day or two and we'll find out more.

I have a buck that is SO quick you can't see it!! And I'd give it for that car.

BTW That stuff that looks like large pieces of tissue on the left front wheel is what's left of a port-o-wall. Fist one I have seen in a while and much abused.
