  • Seat back adjusting screw fix

    Hello group,

A while back I asked if anyone had a pair of #288269 seat back side rest adjusting screws. Brad Johnson was one of the folks who responded that he fixed his with an application of black windshield sealer.

In one of those Ah-ha moments when the proverbial light bulb came on over my cranium, I went to Home Depot and bought a can of black Plasti-Dip -- you know, the stuff you dip the handles of pliers in to cushion and insulate them. When dry, it looks just like what was on the adjusting screws originally.

You can dip the parts as many times as you want to get the thickness and appearance that you want.

    Kindest regards,

Cool solution, Alan. They do look good.

I had thought of using the Plasti-Dip initially but, had the urethane on hand.
