Dash work done

Pulled dash for paint and rewire.

Removed all trim from dash. Found these codes still on top of the glove box. The paint code tag is still on the bottom of the box.

Thanks for all the good coments. There are no Stude people around here to give encouragement. That helps keeping me going.
Nate, hate to say this but the car is a Power Hawk. Can't say anything about the cars history. The motor should be ready to go back in next week.

John, guess again! That steering wheel was standard on Power Hawk and Flight Hawks, the cars with the Deluxe Steering Wheel were ordered with the optional Padded Dash and or Steering Wheel with the horn ring.

The 7393 changed to 7399 is the line number shown on your production order!

'56 Hawk, No I didn't remove the steering wheel or column. In fact to replace the column seal I split the seal and put it around the column. Then sealed the split with rubber cement. The radio is not the stock radio. It is an old Motorola AM. I did remove it and all the instaments also removed the dash escutcheon for painting of dash.

Anyone whom has taken out a dash, painted it, re-wired and got it back right can appreciate that job for how long it took. Beautiful job, John. Power Hawk...learned another tidbit.
