  • Keystone Region Fall Tour concluded

Just got back from the Keystone Region Chapter Fall Tour. Autumn foliage was beautiful

We had 54 members participate. Starting in the Harrisburg, Pa area we caravaned through Lewistown, Huntingdon, Tyrone and Ebensburg, then south to the Johnstown Flood Memorial. From there we went into Johnstown to ride the Incline and visit the Heritage Center.

Then checked in at the Super 8, went to dinner and returned to the motel to share pictures of Omaha over libations and do some more Lancaster '08 planning.

This morning, after breakfast at Denny's, we headed to the Flight 93 Memorial at Shanksville, a solemn spot, little discussion, only the sound of the wind over the field. God Bless Them.

The oldest vehicle was a 1932 Sedan; also had a 46 Champion Coupe, 50 Commander Starlight, 52 R series and a Golden Hawk. The rest were GT's, Larks, Cruisers and Avantis. Most probably added 300 miles to the odometer.

Only had one mishap when the HEI module failed on a 76 Avanti on the way to Shanksville. No one carried a spare so AAA was summoned and all's well that ends well.
