I am installing an R2 in a 65 Daytona which has a 5/16 fuel line. Will I be OK with that line or should I change to 3/8?
Thanks

It will run Paul, but might be a bit starved at high RPM. There must be a reason Studebaker used 3/8" line from the tank and a 1/4" return line.

I agree, run the bigger line and add the return. I drop the tank, drill a hole in the top rear corner just like the factory and install a short fuel line stub. If you are afraid to braze it, just make it a tight fit and use epoxy.

Unless you have an electric pump (at the tank), pushing the fuel all the way to the carb, the return line doesn't have to go all the way back to the tank. You can plumb it into the supply line under the car, with a tee connection. The return was only to bleed off extra pressure and dumping it into the supply line isn't a problem.
