There's a S. GA chapter member that is wanting to find a new home for his '55 Commander sedan; late model with Ultra Vista windshield. It runs and drives fine, just needs lots of cosmetic things. Or, drive it like it is.

259 V8 with 3 speed OD. Engine is nice and strong and the overdrive works fine in 2nd and 3rd gear. The paint looks good from 10 feet away, but up close, little rust bubbles are starting to show through. Nothing too bad that couldn't be fixed. All the chrome is pitted and needs redone.

The interior needs redoing. Has some 'saddle blanket' seat covers on it. Door panels are originals and serviceable. The headliner is original, sagging, and badly needs replacing.

Overall a decent 'driver' that needs very little to drive and enjoy. :)

Price is $4000.00 or best offer. Email me for more info. mbstude at yahoo dot com. The seller is a very nice guy who will entertain any and all reasonable offers. He's moving to the very southern tip of Texas later this year, and doesn't want to take the car with him. If nobody on the Forum wants it, I'll try the eBay thing.

Here's a video of me driving it down the road, then a walk around. Sorry about the 'lead foot syndrome', I'm used to driving 6 bangers. :)

Now that's a great ride for some one to get into Stubakering, and a good price. Sedans have more room and a softer ride. and you feel more relaxed after a long trip.

You might want to change the listing since you do not need Broadway title. Georgia does not issue titles for cars that old. You just go to the MVA with the registration and a bill of sale and you'll get a title. I just did it on the convert. My guess on the bidding on the 1955 is the bidding will not make the 4K, but I hope I'm wrong and it'll go higher. The line about the lack of title won't help and is not needed.

Thanks JP, done. :)

First time I've ever listed a car. Hopefully it'll do well.

That's a good old car. I have worked on it over the past several years and hate to see it go, but I don't need it, And I can't afford it right now. Otherwise it would stay here. NT

For some reason when I go to Studebaker cars on eBay Motors, I don't see it listed.

Funny, my standard saved search for 1953 to 1966 Studebaker Cars & Trucks, of course switching to the old format (don't want to read ads for new cars etc.) does not list the '55 either just 22 others as of 8:07 PDT, wonder how long it takes to load? :(

But I have used the link here to view it and checked it's category and everything seems correct "Studebaker Cars" 1955 Studebaker, weird! [:0]

Seems like it usually takes a day or so for something to pop up on the eBay searches. Hopefully today you can search and find it. [^]

I really like that dark blue on the rear section. Anyone know the color code for that? That's the blue I want for the front section of my 55 C body.
