I will be parting out a 62 GT here in Northern California. If anyone has any needs or wants, please let me know. I just want this thing gone as soon as possible. We will probably have it down to the shell sometime this weekend. Feel free to post your requests. One side note: The doors are the early scalloped doors from an earlier hardtop. The windows, though are GT.

I don't suppose the rear driver window regulator is the same on Hawks and Lark HTs?

Unfortunately, no. [V]

I do need both door regulators for mine, FWIW.

RIP is right. Its sad for this one, but its so stripped and is missing so much it would be a gigantic undertaking to get it back together. I just thought it would serve a better purpose to help many other cars get back on the road.

I need stainless trim for the left front wheel opening.

I'm here in NorCal and will be at the Sequoia Chapter swap meet at Studebaker West this Saturday morning.

I'm starting to wonder whether there shouldn't be a registry of scrapped cars so that if the day ever comes that all Studebaker records are computerized the records pertaining to them can be marked "known to be scrapped."

Man, that would be a monumental task!

:) It's being done on a small scale already, John. Both Frank Ambrogio (1956 Golden Hawks) and Joe Bacon (JT-powered 1963 Larks and Hawks) maintain a data base of "known parted cars" by serial number.

Leonard is correct, though; doing that for all Studebakers would be a herculean task, to say the least! :)BP

Especially on cars where 'collectors' removed all the ID plates. :D (Guilty here, BTW.[:I])

Fair enough, I was thinking about the forum specifically. How many times does someone say I'm parting a car, thought that some record of the destroyed car could be kept.

I've got a 1963 GT Hawk that is very complete and just needs some TLC. It was started about 15 years ago and never finished. Basically stored inside all of the time. I'll sell it if someone is interestedd. It's a 289 Automatic. let me know outside of here.

OK, so the GT is stripped of all the major body parts as of today. If anyone needs any fenders, doors, hood or trunk, Please let me know. They will be going on ebay soon. There is very little rust anywhere on the body parts. A small repair on one of the front fenders, and the trunk would be good only for a driver, but let me know what you want.
