Went to a local charity car show Saturday. They parked Baby between an 07 vette and an 06 stang. I thought what a place to be, nobody is even going to see the Stude. I sure was wrong I heard comments like, We could go to the Ford or Chevy dealer if we wanted to see them. I passed out 7 apps. for memberships. There was a local celebrity there from a TV station who spent 20 minutes learning about Studebakers abnd taking videos of Baby. Seconsd time this month our chapter has been seen on TV. Great advertising.

Great Job Dick. Its so much fun to get to talk Stude. I came out of Costco the other day. 4 teenagers were sitting in the stall next to me. One of the Girls said that she really liked my car. I said thank you so you like Studebakers. She looked at me with this black stare. The guys said hey silly thats the kind of car that you told her you liked. She just said duh. She liked the shape and the doors. Asked how good it was on gas how easy was it to drive. I told her that she could get one pretty reasonable but she would have to be willing to learn how to work on them. She still was interested so I gave her my card.

Dick, you are to be commended for the efforts that you make to promote Studebakers and the SDC. it is efforts like this that makes us extremely visable to almost 3 generations of people who know little or nothing about the Studebakers we own and drive. Congratulations for the passion and for displaying your car'cars whenever and wherever possible.
