The bumper guards are upside down (at least compared to my '62 GT). Also, what's up with the add on hood ornament[?]

That's funny! He probably put it on while laying on his back.

I saw another funny on there today. The listing is nothing special, just the tag line. "HORSE DRAWN WAGON MANUAL HORSE". Does that mean the horse has a clutch? Needs a carrot? Is not shiftless? I give up.

I think the whole bumper is upside down!

Guido beat me, so I didn't think about the guards. I think the whole thing is upside down. The angles on the bumpers ends are narrower at the top than the bottom. Not in a streamlining direction.

Upside down or rightside up

Any Hawk that looks good with front bumper guards...looks better without them :D

There was a Studebaker in the Great Race a couple of summers ago that had the bumper guards the same way.

I guess that if I had taken the time to look at more than the front image I would have gotten it right the first time. The bumper is on upside down as can be seen in this image. I sent the owner a message to let him/her know. I wonder if that is a Junior wagon on the porch and a Studebaker wagon in my first picture?

The side picture makes the front fenders look like fenders from a 1950 model. In my mind.

It appears that the same seller has this '61 Champ up for sale too (also with an implanted hood ornament).

Although the bumper is on upside down, the bumper guards actually look better in that position than stock.

No, The opening post is missing something. I'm always very curious as to why someone goes back to a 'lost' thread/post and changes it bringing up to the present without the past meaning.

I believe "David" was one of the people involved in the flameout that occurred last night on the $900 wagon. Apparently he went back and deleted some of his prior posts.

I removed the bumper guards from my GT for a cleaner look. Soem of these cars have guards, foglights, and wings on the ends of the bumpers. They look front heavy. Almost like a bulldozer, or something similar.

Anne,

Unfortunately one topic on the forum digressed into an embarrassing back and forth exchange last night. Apparently some people are not willing to respect others and abide by the forum rules.

http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37054

"David" was a participant in the thread, but has elected to delete his postings. However, despite that, evidence remains he was there:

"Buddymander (no name) and David whomever you are... "

Apparently he decided to delete posts beyond those contained in the above thread (Topic ID 37054). When he did so, the system logged it as an edit and bumped the thread to the top of the page. That is why you see this old post reappearing.

I think he was trying to make a statement by deleting all of his posts. I should have thought of that myself; as buddymander, before I got banned. He missed one about a quarter of the way down on the second page. I hope I didn't break any rules by re-registering.

Generally, I'm a black and white old fart but I'm going to vote for one more chance for ex-forum name Buddymander.

IIRC he has contributed to the forum in the past. While I will recognize he has, at times, had a strange way of communicating he has deciminated information and at times a strange humor.

He got caught up in a flame war with an (expletative deleted) [V] individual that should be banished forever as a start. Kinda like he lost it one time and, hopefully, is now sorry.

If the congregation would like to add a ban of any number of days, I'd go for that. But I think we sould give him one more shot. If another incident erupts than he's been warned and then goodby.

By the way, Great job by Mr. Shaw of dealing with this issue promptly.:):)

Well Bob, sorry, but I disagree. I have toed this line myself, maybe even crossed it once, but not to this extreme, of course. ;) After the warning I got, I settled down. I MIGHT be too hardcore, but the way I see it- in "Buddy's" case- strike one was that first go 'round, and further baiting after that thread was locked. Strike two was egging the other party on in this latest one. and strike three would be signing back up, after being shut down.
and going even further~ The other two parties involved ought to be on eggshells right now, 'probation' if you will. (I'm sure they already are.) All four parties involved should all have to post an appoligy here and in TW as well.
If I'd been in any of their shoes Friday night, I'd expect all this or more- honest.
