  • '47 rear glass install how

I am installing a curved rear glass in a '47 and the manual calls for putty and that was over 60 years ago.
What caulk is used today for this job ? What have you used on the rubber/glass and the rubber to metal body?

We installed the glass and of course it took two of us. This is a very difficult and frustrating job to do if you haven't experienced it several times. I kept thinking about the men on the assembly line who did this all day, and the engineer who designed the install but escaped doing it on the line.
Other items we have learned on this car and another car. Precut headliners and precut carpet are simply precut and require patience to install and don't fit. I will take a car to an upholsterer from now on for ALL upholstery, which is what I did in the past.
