The new issue of Sports Car Market (which tracks auction results and has pieces on upscale collectable cars) has a story on the Avanti II.
Predictably, it says that the "II" is less collectable than an orginal Studebaker versions. However, it does praise the early cars with the Chevy 327.
Their final assessment: you won't get rich but it's worth spending $12-14,000 for a good example.
That's good Studebaker PR to a (very) upscale audience that otherwise might not be reached.
