  • 64 Commander Master Brake Cyl Substitutions

By skimming through a couple of hundred treads, there are several references to Jeep as a substitution for 63 and 64 year model 2 port Stude master brake cylinders.

Mine is a 64 Commander 4-dr, 259 V8 that has been sitting for 15 years. The MC has some pitting. Any suggestions on what model Jeep will substitute? I have looked all over the web for this particular part and have been unsuccessful to date...time for me to ask the real guys and gals in the know.

No power brakes on this Stude. I appreciate the info.

I used one spec'd for a 1972 amc ambassador with drum brakes.
