  • Does anyone have any idea the cost to ship from NB

Does anyone know the cost to ship a motor from Nebraska to California? I could pickup in Redding...

Also, has anyone else seen this e-bay auction? There aren't any other bids on this engine and it seems odd to me. After all, a complete motor... Is there something wrong with the seller or too much for the motor?

        Ron,
You can't edit your initial post but, you can edit any response you make to a post. Bob Shaw is working on correcting this.

[)]Try emailing this guy for a quote on moving the engine. He is usually out on the road, so don't expect an immediate reply. I have used him to move bits and pieces several times and he will make you a good deal if you aren't in a hurry. His name is Jim Guinn. Here's his email address: JJimsresto@aol.com [)]

Just a small thing, but the abreviation for Nebraska is NE. NB is New Brunswick, Canada. Probably would cost a small fortune to ship to either place.

The guy with the nice freshly rebuilt '51-'54 232 V-8 with all '62 top end pieces wants 250.00 to crate and ship it complete with Std. Bellhousing, engine is only $1800.00. I think that would be close to what it would cost NE to No. Ca.

FWIW, I use freightquote.com (ask for Ed; tell him Jack sent you.) and if the seller can strap it on a pallet and drop it at a freight dock and you can pick it up at a dock on your end, it wouldn't be more than $500. Tips: if you use their on-line calculator use #85 for class of goods and 750# for a complete engine on a pallet.

                        thnx, jack vines

Thanks for the quick responses and help fellas. I've decided to pass on the engine as I'm not sure if the seller will wait till I can arrange shipping.

                            Thanks again!
