Does anyone have a nice 1957 Packard Clipper or 1957 sedan hood they are willing to sell at York?

You would think that with 63,000 Studebakers built in 1957 Stephen I could find a hood.

I guess all the 1957 Hoods were poorly made. Has there ever been an improvement made for these hoods?

I've got a '56 hood that could be had for free. Bent rear corners, but otherwise solid. Fairly sure it would fit 57 sedans.[^] Of course, I'm on the wrong end of the continent.:(

There you go! Ever seen a hood on a "parts car" WITHOUT bent rear corners? LOL!

Sadly, that needn't BE the case, but most folks don't know to pull a Stude hood towards them as they lift.:(

Ive got the hood from my 58 scotsman. Unfortunately, the guy before me had it finned, nice job if you like fins.
I don't need it anymore since I found an un modded one.

Thanks Norm, I was just in Orlando this weekend over at Unnivaersal Studios. I will have to look and see it a 1958 Studebaker Scottsman hood will work on a 1957 Packard Clipper.

The parts book might say that, but a '58 Scotsman hood wouldn't have the 'flat' or holes for the hood ornament that a '57 would need to be mounted~ at least the '58 Scotsman I had was that way anyway...
