View Full Version : I am going to sell my loft full of NOS '64 stuff

Most of it is for a Daytona Wagonire. I was once going to restore a COMPLETE '64 R1 rust bucket and went on a buying spree at Newman and Altman back in the late 80's when '64 Lark-type parts were almost free. I haven't inventoried this stuff in a LONG time, but if I remember correctly I have a complete NOS bucket seat interior in blue (incluidng the carpeted rear panel), NOS bumpers, grill, tail light housings, gas tank, radiator and lots and lots of NOS odds and ends.
Maybe SASCO still has all of this stuff--I dunno.

I also have a rebuilt disc brake booster for this car that was never bolted on. And probably lots of other stuff too--got to get up in the loft and make a list.

I have to get rid of this load--it's been sitting here mocking me and the wagon is long gone. I hope to raise as much as I can--maybe up to a couple of thousand dollars or even more? I really don't have a clue.

If anyone is restoring a '64 Wagonaire and might be intestested in this stuff as a package, maybe we can work something out. Otherwise I guess the best bet would be to put it up on ebay on piece at a time?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd say eBay. I'd be interested in a lot of that stuff, but would have no idea what it's worth.

My advice is to sell it all to me......cheap ;)

Actually, I MAY need some stuff for that '63 Daytona I got from Mr. Biggs. Let me know when you have the list together.

Allan, as I'm redoing a '64 Daytona, I'd probably be interested in a lot of what you have (that will work with a 2-dr hardtop). If you have a list of stuff, e-mail me :D. Did I mention my car has a blue interior ;)???

Just the upholstery. No, that's not quite right. I have a set of reclining bucket seats in good shape as well that were going to be donors. The original seats in the wagon were non-reclining.

I also think I have a blue NOS dash that is a bit "shop worn" but still nicer than most original dashes. Not sure if I have the door panels or not-I seem to think I do have them, but it's been a few years since I went through the pile so I can't say for sure.

And I am also pretty sure I have a set of blue headreasts. Those a pretty rare items I think. Not sure if they are particualarly VALUABLE, but rare they are!

I know there are LOTS of NOS trim pieces and mouldings.

I am willing to sell the ENTIRE LOT as a package deal to someone who can come and pick the stuff up or pay for shipping lots of multiple boxes. Like I said, this would be GREAT for someone doing a '64 Daytona Wagonaire.

If I'm going to piece the lot out I will more than likely just put it all up on ebay at once and provide a link here.

Allen, just to clairify, did you say you have two sets of bucket seats (one reclining one not)? Or do you have a bench seat and a set of buckets?

One set of seat covers. One set of reclining seats that need the covers installed.

OK. I got motivated and looked through about 75-80% of the NOS stuff today. Some very nice SURPRISES and one BIG negative.

I found:

COMPLETE set of NOS aluminum side moulding from front to back--BOTH sides. NICE!

NOS front and rear bumpers with overriders and lic. lamp stuff for rear--all perfect and still in cosmoline.

NOS grill in factory box--perfect.

Pair of headlight buckets in factors boxes--perfect.

4 NOS outer door handles

A few bits of odd pot metal moudling--must be for the rear--I just can't picture it right now.

COMPLETE set of door panels-- all FOUR doors--metallic blue--still in factory boxes really, REALLY nice!

Dash pad and glove box door cover in same blue--not perfect, but still nice and NOS.

COMPLETE blue carpet set including cargo area which means the piece of marine plywood too. REALLY REALLY NICE!!!! Soft and plyable.

COMPLETE rear seat covers in same metallic blue--nice and soft and NOS.

NOS gas tank.

PERFECT windshield trim.

Now the bad news:

The things I can't seem to find that I remember having are a pair of NOS tail light housings and the FRONT seat covers. I am sure I had these at one time and will continue to look, but it could be that in moving this stuff 5 or 6 times over the last decade and a half that some of the stuff has gone missing or has been mislaid.

If anyone wants to offer me something for the LOT listed above, drop me a line. Otherwise it's going to ebay over the weekend.

If you all have any idea what the opening bids should be on any of this stuff, I'd appreciate some advice there as well . . .

I'm restoring a 64 Daytona Wagonaire, but not in blue. I would be interested in the outside trim and the gas tank though. If you put the parts on Ebay, I'll look for them there.

If the deal falls through for any reason, I will post a link to ebay auctions here later . . .
