  • 60 Hawk moulding removal

Hello everyone. I'd like a pointer or two on how to remove the center, chromed cowl belt moulding on the 60 Hawk as we strip it down getting ready for fresh paint. The two side cowl mouldings came off easy ... just a screw and pal nut on each side. But the center one is held in place with tubular speed clips, and I'm now lost. Do these tubular clips "unscrew" from underneath the dashboard, or do I pop the moulding off with a couple putty knives from the top, or what. I thank you in advance for the help.

Once the molding is snapped in, it has a death grip. Get under the dash and push up on the clips, the molding may well come off with clips attached.
