Trans cooler

Called last week-Rowdy, my radiator repair guy, told me the trans fluid cooler in the radiator lower tank was shot and he did not have a replacement. Went to Brassworks radiator and spoke to Lee who was super helpful and was sure he could fix us up with the correct cooler. Just wanted to give this vendor two thumbs up and let you know who to call if you have radiator trouble( They are listed in 'vendors')

I was led to believe that the transmission "cooler" is actually a transmission oil "heater" to assist elevating the oil temperature in the transmission for smoother operation when cold.

It serves both purposes. It works to maintain an optimum fluid temperature.
