  • side mirrors

Anyone know of a place where I could get a nice chrome set of side mirrors that would bolt into the stock mounting bracket on a 47-m5 pickup? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks

I don't think that chrome would look good or be appropriate for a pickup of that vintage. How modified is your M-5? How about polished stainless steel? I think that stainless steel would be more appropriate. Of course, your truck, so if you want chrome, fine.

The M5 mirrors on adjustable length arms are the same as the ones used on early CJ2 Jeeps. You can buy them cheap from Waulk's, Northstar Willys (www.northstarwillys.com), or any other Jeep parts house. The Jeep part number is 663642K. About $16.95 each in black. You can get these with black arms and heads or in stainless.

If you have the short fixed-length mirror arms, the 5" heads for the Willys mirrors will fit those.

Here's my list of many M5 parts interchanges. Stude International is in the midst of re-doing their web site so the links to their catalog pages aren't working just now. Ed, get busy!
