  • Clutch/Brake Assembly ID

Could someone tell me what series Studebaker truck this brake/clutch assembly is from?

I think the assembly is from an M5. Can anyone confirm? Here's another shot (note: pieces not assembled correctly):

Ok, let's try this. This frame (not mine) seems to have the same brake/clutch setup. Is this an M5 chassis? If not, a later series truck?

I'm trying to identify this setup so I can get any needed parts for it. I want to use it for an "All-Studebaker" hot rod I'm building. Unfortunately, I only have Studebaker car chassis parts books, so I can't ID these parts myself.

Curved front bumper, cab mounts, stepped gas tank, etc mean 49-56 Stude truck. Wheels indicate half-ton.

Hey Skip. Don't you mean 3/4 ton? it's most def 49-56. Shocks are tube type, so pegs after a certain serial#, prob '50 or newer. I'd say 2R10. Look! it's even got a big 6!

You're right of course on the shocks. On my small screen, I can't count the lugs on the wheels -- looked like 5 to me.

6 lugs and big holes in the wheels.
