    Got the dash assembled today. Installed the gauges I also refurbished. Painted all the console metal panels too.Click image for larger version

                    I know the Avanti came together by the Lowey team in 40 days, but do we know if the interior design was finished during that same time?

                    I have always thought the dash/console was a perfect match to the exterior...

                      Reminds me of a related question (are we getting off track?). Did the original Lowey team design the dash or did Studebaker have in house designer/engineers who were responsible?

                            It had a "dent" and a little heat to soften the vinyl, and it came right out. Must have had an impact, or something leaning against it.
