Well, now that Old Miss Florida has finally decided to settle down her jimmies and give us some temperate weather, it was the opportune time to attend my local Cars + Coffee yesterday. I saw a lovely buttermilk yellow and ice while 1960 Mercedes saloon that could have easily come from a Swiss apothecary, a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetside woody wagon finished in a blinding shade of turquoise, and this lovely thing (the picture below is as close a match as I could find to the original). It was one out of three AMCs there and took my vote as best in show. It was incredible to speak to the owner as well, as I got to show him how the airliner reclining seats worked! A great day, all in all.

I considered a new Marlin, but ordered a new 1966 Dodge Charger instead.

Nice photo of that Marlin. Probably the best angle for one to photograph it. Did you get any photos of that '58 Golden Hawk behind the Marlin?

IMO, also the best angle for a shot of an Avanti.

For a rear shot, I agree.

For a frontal shot, more emphasis should be on the front than on the side.

The marlin is a delight though somewhat feminine. The Avanti looks very good from that angle and always masculine in its overall presence.
